Plymouth Argyle are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Plymouth Argyle in the three nil victory over Exeter City at the weekend at Home Park was enough to earn them a place as the manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Adams was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Adams handed out four debuts as Plymouth faced off against Devon rivals Exeter City, who arrived at Home Park looking to equal a club-record undefeated streak. But his new Pilgrims eased past their foes, with Matty Kennedy among the stand-out stars. The result also closed the gap at the top of Sky Bet League Two after Doncaster’s Friday night draw.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Adams for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Joe Lumley (Bristol Rovers), Mat Sadler (Shrewsbury Town), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Jamaal Lascelles (Newcastle United), George Cooper (Crewe Alexandra), Alex Pritchard (Norwich City), John-Joe O’Toole (Northampton Town), Aiden McGeady (Preston North End), Kevin Ellison (Morecambe), Danny Hylton (Luton Town), Tomer Hemed (Brighton).

Manager – Derek Adams (Plymouth Argyle).
