Plymouth Argyle are proving to be one of the top sharp-shooters of League One.

The Pilgrims’ have had 338 attempts on goal this season, the fifth highest in the league.
Of those 338 goal attempts 156 have been on target while 182 have been off the radar with Argyle scoring 36 goals, meaning that the team requires nine attempts to score one goal.

Peter Reid’s side have also hit the woodwork 16 times, the second highest in League One.

Despite Argyle struggling near the bottom of the league they are at least attempting to be entertaining.

Of the current Argyle squad Rory Patterson (pictured above) is the top six-shooter with 50 attempts on goal but only scoring two goals.

Southampton lead the way in League One with 392 attempts on goal.
