Plymouth Argyle have signed Bournemouth midfielder Mark Molesley on a one-month loan deal.

The 31-year old will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s game against Chesterfield.

The 6-foot tall midfielder has been plagued by injury and finished last season on-loan to Aldershot. The former non-league star has not featured for the Cherries since a substitute appearance at Brentford on Boxing Day last year.

Conor Hourihane and Jamie Lowry have started to form a good partnership in midfield and will now have some competition from Molesley.

Welcome aboard the good ship Mayflower, Mark.

Welcome but it’s another strange decision from Fletcher. With Wotton coming back midfield is a position that didn’t need strengthening, especially from a player who hasn’t played a first team match this season and is injury prone.
Despite his age Molesley has played most of his career at non league level so he’s inexperienced in league 2.

We needed a big centre back.
    Once again I’m baffled.
