Plymouth Argyle have revealed their new home and away kits for season 2013-2014.

We have already seen images of the home kit when the design of the shirt was first made public a few months ago following a vote amongst the fans. The shirt is predominantly green with a white slash across the shoulders.

The big surprise is that the away shirt is baby blue in colour and very similar to the home shirt worn by Manchester City.
This is a break from tradition and at first glance I’m not keen, however, the shirt may look better in the flesh.

With around eight teams in League Two wearing blue kits for home matches it’s possible that Argyle’s new baby blue kit will not be worn for several away games, even then our green home kit could also clash with the opposition’s blue home kit.
We could see a situation at Portsmouth where their dark blue home kit clashes with Argyle’s green kit so the away kit of baby blue will have to be worn meaning both teams will be kitted out in different shades of blue.

Local building firm WH Bond will continue as the shirt sponsor for the new season.
