Argyle’s third pre-season run out of the summer ended in an entertaining 3-3 draw against Bath City.

Argyle had raced into a three goal lead but the National League South team pulled back three goals to level the game.

The games against Elburton, Bideford and now Bath have seen Argyle score goals for fun (10) but also concede six.

Striker Jake Jervis and Ryan Brunt were again on the scoresheet taking their tally to nine between them and winger Gregg Wylde once again impressed, as did midfield playmaker Graham Carey.

These type of games are all about fitness and getting some match action and with a new manager in Derek Adams the players will also be acclimatising themselves to new tactics.

Defender Carl McHugh once again played as a deep midfielder with Josh Simpson and Carey pushing on in front of him.
From the three games so far it’s clear Jervis and Brunt have forged an understanding up front, Wylde is Argyle’s main provider of goals and that a right-sided midfielder/winger is still desperately needed.
