Bhasera Set For Turkish Trial

Out of contract Argyle left-back Onismor Bhasera has been offered a trial with Turkish Super League side Sanica Boru Elazigspor.

Elazigspor start their pre-season preparations at a training camp in the Netherlands on July 10 and have invited Bhasera to attend the sessions.

The Turkish side finished in 13th place in the Super League last season and play in the 14,000 capacity Elazig Ataturk stadium.

Argyle manager John Sheridan has received no contact from Bhasera since offering the Zimbabwean international a new contract at the end of last season and is now planning for the new campaign by looking at three left-backs during pre-season training.

Bhasera’s agent Ralph Nkomo says Bhasera has also attracted interest from a Championship club, he said: ‘He will be on trials with Elazigspor which is in the Turkish Premier League.
‘The club will start its pre-season training on 10 July in Netherlands and they will pick up Bhasera in England. Elazigspor are looking for a left back and want to have a look at him since they don’t know how he plays.
‘There is also an offer from another Championship division side in England.’
