Former Plymouth Argyle left-back Onismor Bhasera has now popped up on trial at Championship side Yeovil Town.

The Pilgrims’ Player of the Year was offered a new contract at the end of last season but has so far failed to respond to John Sheridan’s offer and instead is now hawking himself around to different clubs looking for a new deal.

The mercenary left-sided player was reported to have started a trial last week for Turkish side Sanica Boru Elazigspor at their pre-season training camp in the Netherlands.
The latest news is that the Zimbabwean nomad is now on trial at Yeovil.

Sheridan has become increasingly frustrated with the behaviour of Bhasera and told the Herald: ‘I’ve been trying to get hold of him, and really I don’t know what he’s playing at.
‘I’ve tried as hard as I can and I don’t think he has come out of this very well.’

Bhasera’s agent Ralph Nkomo appears to be a ‘character’ with question marks raised over his transfer business at Portsmouth several years ago.
Until last week Nkomo’s name was included in FIFA’s players’ agent list but his name has now been omitted.

Bhasera was a big favourite of the Green Army, however his actions over the summer has been disrespectful to PAFC and the fans and has soured his reputation at Home Park.

Let’s see where Bhasera pops up next as he continues to wander around looking for a club!

  • I guess he wasn’t offered a deal with the Turkish club and if he doesn’t impress at Yeovil he may yet come grovelling back and hope John Sheridan will take him on.
