Cardiff City take on Plymouth Argyle in an early 1pm kick-off.

Vital Quotes:

Plymouth manager Tony Pulis has injury and illness worries before the Boxing Day clash with Cardiff City, he said “We’ve got a few players who have all gone down with a little bit of flu, I’m frightened to death of waking up on Boxing Day and it’s gone up to six players.”

Cardiff City Team News:

Cardiff hope to improve their play-off chances against Plymouth who find themselves just above the relegation zone. Cardiff are currently in 7th place in The Championship and it will be tough for the Plymouth team to gain a much needed win with Cardiff only losing twice at home this season. Teenage striking sensation Cameron Jerome will again lead the attack with Michael Ricketts his probable strike partner.

Player to watch: Jason Koumas

Jason Koumas is currently on loan at Cardiff from Premiership side West Bromwich Albion, his goalscoring performances from midfield has re-vitalised the Welsh side.

Plymouth Argyle Team News:

Plymouth Argyle manager Tony Pulis may have a selection headache for the Boxing day clash with Cardiff City. Right back Paul Connolly is suspended, so Pulis might have to move Antony Barness across to fill the gap and draft in Hasney Aljofree at left back. Another problem for Pulis is that a flu bug has hit the Argyle camp with some players maybe struggling to be fit in time for the Cardiff game.
To confound Pulis’ problems even more, playmaker Akos Buzsaky could be missing with his groin injury again causing problems.

Argyle will do well to come away from Ninian Park with a point.

Player to watch: David Norris

With Buzsaky probably missing from the team any spark of creativity will have to be provided by livewire midfielder David Norris. His recent performances have been a relevation for The Greens and he will have to be at his best once again.
