Portsmouth newspaper The News has today reported that Argyle midfielder Graham Carey will not be joining the Blues.

The 28-year old playmaker is out of contract in a few days and has been offered a new deal by Argyle but is yet to commit to staying at Home Park.
This has led to intense speculation on the future of Carey with a host of clubs linked to signing the Irishman with Sheffield United, Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth among the list of clubs interested in capturing the midfielder.

On Thursday football journalist Dominic Shawcross tweeted that Portsmouth are set for talks with Carey and his agent, he said:
“Being told Portsmouth have today been allowed permission by Plymouth Argle to speak to Graham Carey and his representatives.”

However, today The News in Portsmouth reported that Carey is not on the radar of new manager Kenny Jackett.

There is still a chance that Carey will remain at Argyle.
