Argyle striker Nick Chadwick has received a further three match ban from the Football Association.

Chadwick picked up a red card in the 34th minute in Saturday’s game at Port Vale after the striker clashed into Ashley Vincent soon after the home side had scored their first goal in a 4-0 win.
An automatic ban of three matches was handed out but the FA have reviewed an incident in the first minute of the match between Chadwick and Vincent and taken retrospective action and added a further three matches to the original suspension.

The 30-year old striker will now miss six matches at a crucial time of the season and limit new manager John Sheridan’s options when selecting a team.
Chadwick will not be available until the match against Northampton on February 23.

The suspension will also hinder Sheridan’s task of wheeling and dealing in the January transfer market although if Sheridan decides that Chadwick’s future is away from Home Park the ’emergency’ loan window will be open in February when Chadwick completes his ban.

The club have stated that Chadwick will disciplined.
