Argyle manager Derek Adams has won the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award for September.

He beat off competition from John Coleman at Accrington Stanley, Steve Davis of Crewe Alexandra and Grimsby Town manager Paul Hurst.

Adams and his Argyle team won 13 points from five games during September and sit five points clear at the top of the league.

There is a stigma of a supposed curse for any manager winning the monthly award by losing the next game following the announcement although this hasn’t been proven.
Argyle are away to Stevenage on Saturday and with the excellent form the team are in at the moment the curse doesn’t matter at all.

Congratulations Derek!
