Former Argyle midfielder Ryan Donaldson has signed for Hartlepool United.

The 26-year old was released by Pilgrims’ manager Derek Adams at the end of last season after helping the Greens clinch promotion from League Two, making a total of 33 appearances and scoring two goals. He was the first Argyle signing during the summer of 2016.

Donaldson is the fifth new signing for Pools manager Craig Harrison as he looks to rebuild a Hartlepool team who dropped into the National League at the end of last season.

Harrison won the race to sign Donaldson in what is described as a ‘major coup.’

Good luck Ryan!
