Argyle drew 0-0 with Dutch giants Feyenoord in a pre-season friendly in Rotterdam on Wednesday.

Greens manager Derek Adams was keen to find a game for his squad after the planned games against FC Emmen and FC Twente were cancelled at the last minute by the respective Mayor’s of the two towns.

The match against Feyenoord was top secret with the Argyle players themselves only discovering their opposition shortly before kick-off.

Not much is known about the contest against the Dutch champions except the game was played behind closed doors at the Varkenoord training facility adjacent to the De Kuip stadium, the players used the dressing rooms in the stadium before embarking on mini buses for the short journey to the pitch outside of the stadium.

Feyenoord included a number of regular first team players including Nicolai Jorgensen, the Danish striker who was top goal scorer in the Eredivisie last season.

After the match the Argyle players enjoyed a meal in the players lounge in the stadium to complete a good day for the Greens.
