In just two days the Argyle players will grace the pitch at Liverpool and nearly 9,000 Argyle fans will be in the stand at Anfield cheering them on.

The FA Cup Third Round game on Sunday, kick-off 1.30pm, will see the second-placed team in the Premier League host the second-placed team in League Two in what promises to be a great occasion for all Argyle fans.

Promotion into League One is the priority for Argyle this season but we can forget about the hurly burly and pressure of League Two football for just a few days and savour the trip to Anfield; one of the great stadiums in world football.

The game will bring a huge cash bonus for the Greens who have already banked £63,000 in prize money and TV fees from the Second Round win against Newport County and will look to add a further £500,000 from the game at Anfield.
BT Sport will broadcast the game live with Argyle and Liverpool each picking up £144,000 in TV fees, the game is also sold out which means Argyle will receive 45% of the gate receipts from a 54,000 capacity attendance.

Argyle manager Derek Adams has asked the Green Army to enjoy the day, he said: ‘My message to the fans would be enjoy the day, I think that getting Liverpool in the FA Cup doesn’t come around very often.
‘It will be a terrific day. It’s a sell-out crowd and the ticket pricing has been very good as well, which has helped.
‘It’s going to be a very good day for so many people.’

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke about Argyle during his pre-match press conference, he said: ‘In Plymouth we have a really confident opponent, they have a long trip to go, I saw it yesterday on a map, I hope they fly otherwise it’s really long, but they are confident, they’re second in the league, we have to respect.’

Klopp is expected to announce a team mixed with youngsters, players returning from injury and a few regular first-team players.

Argyle and/or Liverpool will be ball number 17 for the FA Cup Fourth Round draw which takes place on Monday at 7.10pm on BT Sport and BBC2.

Enjoy the day!
