Goodbye Romain Larrieu

Romain Larrieu has left Plymouth Argyle.

The club Legend spent 13 years at Home Park and was a huge favourite with the fans.

Larrieu was assistant manager to Carl Fletcher and then helped new manager John Sheridan with the coaching following Fletcher’s departure.
Sheridan is now shaping his backroom staff ready for the next season and Larrieu will not be part of the coaching set-up.

Larrieu has fought against injuries and ill-health during his time at Argyle but never complained and became one of the best goalkeepers in the lower leagues, the word Legend is over-used in football; however, Romain Larrieu deserves to be called an Argyle Legend.
One of the most humble and respected players ever to step out onto the Home Park pitch.

If only we had a team of Larrieu’s.

Goodbye Ro and thanks.

It’s such a shame, from the reports today Larrieu didn’t want to leave. It’s a new regime and we have to trust Sheridan. Good luck Ro.
