Argyle’s trip to Accrington Stanley on Saturday will knock 626 miles off the mammoth total of 11,639 the Greens will travel this season.

Derek Adams and his players have navigated 4,468 miles in the nine away games played in League Two so far this season with another 7,171 miles still to complete.

The longest round trip of 778 miles to Carlisle United was chalked off in the first away league game of the season followed by epic journeys to Blackpool and Morecambe, there was some respite in September with the shortest round trip of the season to Exeter City at just 92 miles.

The trip to Accrington on Saturday is the sixth longest the team and fans will travel for a league game.

This season the team will travel an extra 780 miles compared to last season because relegation from League One for Blackpool, Colchester United and Doncaster Rovers and the promotion of Grimsby Town from the National League has added considerably to Argyle’s time and distance on the road network.
