With the transfer window now open, stories are filtering through that Plymouth Argyle are in talks with striker Delroy Facey, Tranmere Rovers bustling target man. The 25 year old striker is currently out of action due to an ankle injury but is close to making a comeback. Plymouth are thought to have made a £50,000 bid with striker Scott Taylor moving to Tranmere as part of a player plus cash deal.
Tranmere were interested in signing Taylor last year but didn’t follow up their interest with a serious bid. Taylor has failed to claim a regular first team place at Plymouth and would relish a chance to return to the North West area after his goal exploits for Blackpool before joining Plymouth.

Another striker Plymouth are keeping close tabs on is Bournemouth’s James Hayter.
Bournemouth chairman Peter Phillips is resigned to losing Hayter during the transfer window and told Bournemouth’s Daily Echo that he would rather sell Hayter to a Championship club than a League One rival.
Plymouth’s assistant manager Lyndsay Parsons has already watched Hayter in action in Bournemouth’s recent match against Gillingham.
