The referee for Argyle’s League Two game against Newport County at Rodney Parade on Saturday is Michael Salisbury.

The Lancashire-based official is in his first season as a Football League referee after just one season in the National League and joins his father Graham as a referee in the EFL.
The father and son combination took charge of Argyle’s Boxing Day game against Torquay United in 2012 with Graham as the man in the middle and Michael as his linesman.

Michael Salisbury has shown 31 yellow cards and three red cards in 10 games this season.

He will be assisted on Saturday by Wayne Barratt and Andrew Hendley while the fourth official is Adam Matthews.
