Rotherham United have been linked with a move for Argyle left-back Ben Purrington.

The Daily Mail have reported the struggling Championship side have made a move to sign the 20-year-old defender.

Purrington, who was born in Exeter, progressed through the Home Park youth system to become a talented and reliable left-back.

Argyle manager Derek Adams does have good cover for the left-back position in Gary Sawyer and Oscar Threlkeld but it would be disappointing if Purrington was sold.

Rotherham are rooted to the bottom of the Championship with just four wins and are nine points away from safety.
The club is currently managed by caretaker Paul Warne so the future is uncertain should Purrington decide to sign for Rotherham
