Plymouth Argyle have been drawn away to play Port Vale in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

The match will take place at Vale Park on the weekend of 4th and 5th of January 2014 with the winner picking up £67,500 in prize money.

Argyle progressed into Round Three after beating two Conference sides, firstly Lincoln City 5-0 in a First Round replay and Welling United 3-1 at Home Park in the Second Round yesterday.

Port Vale are currently in 9th place in League One after being promoted from League Two last season. They beat Shortwood United 4-0 in the First Round of the FA Cup and triumphed 4-1 at home to Salisbury on Saturday in the Second Round.

With respect to Port Vale it’s a poor draw for Argyle and Port Vale are probably thinking likewise although they will be more confident of reaching Round Four than us.
