Another day and another club linked with taking Plymouth Argyle striker Steve MacLean away from Home Park.

This time it’s Scottish Premier League strugglers Falkirk who, along with MacLean, are also interested in signing fellow Pilgrims striker Alan Gow.

The Scottish press have reported that both MacLean and Gow (pictured above) are targets for Falkirk, but it’s doubtful that either striker will move to a club that is currently bottom of the SPL with relegation a real possibility and there’s also the wages demands of both players to consider.

Gow, a former Falkirk player, has already been linked with a move to Hibs while MacLean has been linked with just about every Scottish club going!

MacLean has been on trial at Hearts with Aberdeen also keen to sign him but he still remains an Argyle player despite not playing for the first team since September. Argyle Head Coach Paul Mariner recently revealed that the former Cardiff City man may have a future at Home Park after all.

Gow, who signed from Rangers last summer, has not started a game for the Pilgrims for two months but has been regularly used as a substitute.
