Fletcher In Team Of The Week

Plymouth Argyle captain Carl Fletcher has been included in the Championship Team of the Week following his performance in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Barnsley.

Fletcher scored in the 64th minute with a stunning 20-yard left-foot strike to get Argyle back on level terms and produced a fine midfield display to help the Pilgrims grab a crucial 3-1 win against the Tykes, with goals coming from Jamie Mackie and Rory Fallon.

Fletcher’s fine form over recent weeks has coincided with the signing of Damien Johnson from Birmingham City; the two experienced midfielders will have a vital part to play if Argyle are to avoid relegation.

The Championship Team of the Week is produced by the Football League and the Press Association who selects the eleven top performing players each weekend.
