Grimsby 1 – 1 Argyle Match Highlights

The match highlights of Argyle’s 1-1 draw away to Grimsby Town at Blundell Park on Saturday.

Shaun Pearson gave Grimsby a first minute lead when he finished off a dangerous corner, Argyle struggled to deal with the robust tactics deployed by the Mariners and were second best for the first half.

Roared on by nearly 1,900 fans Argyle had a much better second half and equalised when substitute Jimmy Spencer was put through on goal and expertly finished to make it 1-1.

A win would have given the Greens the League Two title but after putting Grimsby under enormous late pressure it wasn’t to be and Argyle finished the season as runners-up but only on goal difference.
