Ipswich Target Norris Transfer

Plymouth Argyle midfielder David Norris is a transfer target for Ipswich Town.

Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has seen two offers for Norris rejected by the Pilgrims.

Magilton tried to sign Norris last season but his offer was rebuffed and followed that up with a second bid for the hard-working midfielder this summer and that was again knocked back.

Speaking to the Evening Star, Magilton said: ‘I spoke to Ian Holloway about Norris but was rebuffed. It went to board level, but Plymouth made it clear he was not for sale, so that is the end of it for now.’

Norris is regarded as one of Argyle’s better players and is a big favourite with the fans.
The 26-year old has two years left on his contract after arriving from Bolton Wanderers in 2002 for £25,000.

The Peterborough-born player has made no secret of his desire to one-day return to a club nearer his roots and was linked with a move to Norwich City last season.
It remains to be seen if Ipswich will return with a third and more tempting offer for Norris.
