‘Football is a man’s game’ some hardened coach once said, well not quite because did you know that Plymouth Argyle have a ladies team?

During the course of the new season Plymouth Vital will be bringing you news, information and official press releases about the Argyle Ladies team.

We’ll also be financially supporting the ladies team because all of the proceeds generated by Plymouth Vital will now be donated to PALFC in the form of sponsorship of a player. So just by regularly visiting this website or by taking part in the discussions on our messageboard then you will be contributing to the ladies team.

In the past Plymouth Vital has always donated the funds generated by the website to the Plymouth Argyle Supporters Training and Development Trust (PAST&DT) but since the appointment of a new Head of Youth at Argyle the future of PAST&DT looks very uncertain.

For the past 11 years PAST&DT has managed a hostel in Plymouth where young players from around the country could be housed in a safe and friendly atmosphere, leaving the young players to concentrate on their football and studies.
However under the new youth regime at Argyle the hostel and PAST&DT have become surplus to requirements and both entities look likely to close.

We at Plymouth Vital would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated throughout the last 11 years and to the volunteers, trustees and employees at the Hostel.

The formation of PAST&DT 11 years ago was a unique opportunity for fans to feel part of the club and help produce first team players such as Luke McCormick and Paul Connolly, to name just two. Sadly that close link to Argyle has now all but disappeared.

Plymouth Vital will now focus on helping and promoting the Argyle Ladies team as well as bringing you all the usual news on the men’s team.
