Premier League referee Roger East will be in charge of Plymouth Argyle’s League Two clash against Devon neighbours Torquay United at Plainmoor on Saturday.

The Wiltshire-based ref made his debut in the Premier League last Saturday in the fixture between Swansea and Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium.
East endured a difficult game; sending off Swans defender Chico Flores and was criticised for missing key incidents during the game.

East has also officiated in three Championship games and Everton’s League Cup tie this season.

The omens are looking good because East officiated in two Argyle games last season, against Bristol Rovers and Macclesfield Town, with the Greens winning both games.

Argyle will want to make amends for last season when Torquay did the double over them; winning 3-1 at Plainmoor and beating Argyle 2-1 at Home Park.

Torquay are the favourites to win the game with odds of 5/6, the draw is 12/5 while an Argyle win is placed at 3-1.

The Green Army has sold out its allocation of 1,500 tickets.
