Mick Russell has been appointed the referee for Argyle’s League Two game against Accrington Stanley at Home Park on Saturday.

Russell’s assistants will be Justin Amey and Timothy Wood while the fourth official is Adam Hopkins.

The Hertfordshire-based official was also in charge when Argyle played at Accrington in December with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

Russell found himself at the centre of some controversy last month when he officiated in the Championship game between Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield. Wednesday’s Jeremy Helan was booked twice by Russell but avoided a red card because of a case of mistaken identity from Russell.
