Premier League referee Roger East will be the man in the middle for Argyle’s Devon Derby game against Torquay United at Plainmoor on Tuesday.
The Wiltshire-based whistle blower was promoted to the Select Group of Premier League officials after impressing in the lower leagues. East was last in charge of an Argyle game in December 2012 when Oxford were the visitors to Home Park for a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy game.
Coincidently, East was the referee for the corresponding Devon Derby game in September last season when Torquay and Argyle played out a 0-0 draw at Plainmoor.
East will be assisted by Ronald Ganfield and Andy Hendley while the fourth official is John Flynn.
