A complete round-up of Plymouth Argyle’s League Two statistics for season 2012-2013.

The Pilgrims’ ended the season in 21st place on 52 points; one point away from the drop zone.

The team won 13 games, drew 13 and lost 20, with a home record of winning eight games, drawing seven and losing eight, picking up 31 points.
While the away record was winning five games, drawing six and losing 12, picking up 21 points on the road..

Argyle scored a total of 46 goals and conceded 55, with a home record of 25 goals scored (the third joint-lowest in the league) and 24 conceded. The Pilgrims’ scored 21 goals and conceded 31 on the road.
Only three other teams scored less goals away from home.

The Greens were in the relegation zone for seven of the 46 matches played and at the bottom of the league for three matches.
Under Carl Fletcher the team were in the relegation zone just once and with John Sheridan in charge Argyle were in the drop zone for five games and were never in the bottom two for the final nine games of the season.
Argyle’s highest position during the season was 15th on three occasions.

Argyle’s average attendance at Home Park was 7,096 (6,915 last season), the third highest in the league.
The visit of Exeter City attracted the biggest gate of the season at 13,251 which was the second highest in League Two behind Bradford v Rotherham with an attendance of 13,461.
Argyle’s lowest home attendance was 5,219 for the game against Burton Albion.

Argyle had 459 attempts on goal during the league season, 229 on-target and 231 off-target and hit the woodwork 15 times.

Jason Banton was top scorer with six league goals followed by Conor Hourihane with five goals. Paris Cowan-Hall scored five goals in all competitions.
Onismor Bhasera, Cowan-Hall, Alex MacDonald and Reuben Reid all provided three league goal assists each; with Cowan-Hall assisting in five goals in all competitions.

Hourihane had the most attempts on goal at 51; 20 were on-target and 31 off-target. Cowan-Hall had 46 goal attempts, Andres Gurrieri 36 and Banton 35.

Hourihane made the most appearances in all competitions at 47 followed by Bhasera (46) and Cowan-Hall (45).

The Greens received four red cards and 69 yellow cards and committed 445 fouls, only five teams gave away less free-kicks. Hourihane picked up 10 yellow cards, the highest in the squad and one red, Blanchard had the most red cards with two, Hourihane gave away the most fouls at 53.

Striker Tyler Harvey was the second youngest goal scorer in League Two at 17 years 177 days beaten by seven days by Wycombe’s Kortney Hause.

Argyle used 38 players this season with the average age of 24 just one year below the average for League Two. Of the 38 players used 25 were English, the average in League Two is 28.

Nick Chadwick was Argyle’s most used substitute, entering the field of play in 18 games while Gurrieri was subbed the most times in 16 games.

The team and fans travelled 10,908 miles for the 23 away games with York City the furthest away ground at 676 miles with 16,766 members of the Green Army following Argyle on the road at an average of 729 fans at each away game.
