Plymouth Argyle fans have been given extra seats for the Devon derby game against Exeter City at the end of April.

The match at St James’ Park on April 30th could see Argyle win a valuable three points in their bid to avoid relegation and keep the Great Escape dream alive.
The Green Army are desperate to see their team pull off the double over Exeter and gain a win that could help the Pilgrims’ stay in League One but the clamour for tickets has left thousands of Argyle fans disappointed with only approximately 1,500 tickets available in the 8,830 capacity St James’ Park stadium.

With Exeter having nothing to play for and their average attendance only just over 5,000 Grecian officials have decided to hand over the Flybe Stand, the former Cowshed Stand, to the Argyle fans

Exeter club spokesman Sid Pallayfoor said: ‘We don’t have much to play for with a midtable place all but certain; however, this is an important game for Plymouth.
The demand for tickets from the Plymouth fans has been incredible so we have made a financial decision to give the Plymouth fans extra seating and allocate the Flybe Stand to them.’

‘We apologise to our season ticket holders and would urge them to contact the club and we’ll find them seats elsewhere in the ground or we can give them a refund on their ticket for this match.’

The game has a 12-noon kick-off and the match sponsor is local firm Aho Taxis.
