Plymouth Argyle have signed much-travelled Aldershot striker Guy Madjo on a one month loan deal.

The powerful 6-foot tall striker will go straight into the Argyle squad for today’s game against Torquay United.

Pilgrims’ boss Carl Fletcher has been searching for a targetman following concerns over the form and fitness of Nick Chadwick and the continued injury problems of new signing Rhys Griffiths.

Madjo was born in Cameroon and has had spells at several clubs including two recent stints in China and Albania. Argyle will be the 13th club of his career.

The big striker joined Aldershot last January and netted eight goals from 23 appearances and is under contract until the summer of 2013.

Welcome aboard the good ship Mayflower, Guy!

Don’t know anything about the lad but hopefully he can do a much needed job for us & the goals will start flowing. Don’t suppose we’ll be able to use him in the JPT tie though. Now we need creative midfielder. Keep at it Fletch, it’s coming together slowly but surely. Green Army
