In a shock move by the Pilgrims, midfield stalwart David Norris has been left out of the squad against Ipswich.
A statement released on the official sites simply states that Norris has been omitted for the visit to Portman Road.
An official statement released by Plymouth Argyle states that they felt it in Norris’s best interests not to play him there because of the attention it would get.
However after Ipswhich’s AGM last night rumours are again abound. It is claimed that the board and management team are holding a press conference on Wednesday morning to unveil upto 3 new players, when asked if DN was one of them the board declined to commment but they all started laughing. Someone asked “how can we buy a player when a fee hasn’t been agreed?” to which the reply was “who says no fee has been agreed?”.
This further increases the pressure on Argyle to release Norris.
Norris didn’t even travel with the Greens yesterday as he apparently missed his flight.

well thats it then, he must be off! why do the OS only post half a story why not wait and post it all up
perhaps he’s refusing to play….
Apparently its because of the media speculation about Ipswich wanting him might prove too much to the player.
The official page has more details.
Would take the focus out of our boys and we need to conentrate on the game. Good decision by both parties. He won’t go anywhere and all will settle down in a few weeks. An opportunity for Clark to show that he has some competition on the right.
Norris is now an Ipswich player in my mind…this confirms it!!
listen to Paul Sturrock on Argyle World it make sense
