Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to make a move for Plymouth Argyle midfielder Peter Halmosi when the transfer window re-opens in January.
A national newspaper has claimed that Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will make a £1 million-plus offer for the Hungarian international winger.
Halmosi, 28, has been in fine form for Argyle this season, scoring three goals but also creating goals for other players.
The former Drebecen player arrived on-loan at Argyle in January last season and was snapped up by former Argyle manager Ian Holloway in May for a club record £400,000 transfer fee.
Halmosi has a contract at Argyle until June 2010 but Argyle will do well to hold on to their talented Hungarian.

This was bound to happen, the only surprising thing is that a Premier League has not come in for Halmosi. No disrespect to Wolves but Halmosi could do better.
Another one that isn’t going to happen.
Contracted until 2010 and Luggy has already praised his contribution. He won’t be going yet. Hands off McCarthy
He wouldnt look good in orange
They can keep their hands off.
1million?? what a insult, add a copule more on that! i still wouldnt sell him anyway
£1 million is taking the p-ss !
Don’t want him to go but if a premier team came in, it may well happen, nothing less then than £3 million would be acceptable
If you want him McCarthy you’d best add at least 4 mil to that valuation, he rates as probably the best left sieded midfielder in the Championship!
If we sold him for 1 mil would we get any better with the money? no.
Maybe 3 million and kightly
At least with a long contract in place we could demand a high fee – everyon has a price though so although the team needs him, a club with strong buying power will tempt him and us.
Changed the game as a sub when we played you….£2mil+
