Tony Pulis has said that the location of the club, although at times a hindrance, can help the team spirit.

He explained that attracting players so deep in the south west of England can be a problem, but there are positives:

‘Our location doesn’t help sometimes but – on the other hand – it does help because all the players have to live down here. Team spirit is excellent because they are all in the same boat and mix well, so that’s an advantage.’

However, it seems The Pilgrims boss has just missed out on a Premiership loan target. ‘The manager was quite happy for him to join us on loan. I spoke to the player and he didn’t want to come down here. He thought he could get a club closer to home. That’s the way it’s been going for us.’

The player remains unnamed and the hunt for loan signings to bolster the squad goes on!
