Tony Pulis has warned supporters against getting carried away with their recent good form since his arrival. The Pilgrims have only lost one in their last six games which has seen them pull away from the danger zone and up to 19th place in the Championship. Pulis said: ‘The results don’t hide the fact that we are strong in some areas, and weak in others.’

Striker Matt Derbyshire is pushing for a first team place after scoring a brace in the reserves 4-3 victory over Yeovil. Goalkeeping coach Geoff Crudgington, who was in charge of the team told the official site: ‘Matt played very well – his pace and his awareness definitely unsettled Yeovil. As for a first-team chance, he certainly has not done his chances any harm.’

Plymouth Argyle have been linked with Portsmouth’s Linvoy Primus. The 32 year old central defender, who has not played this season under Perrin, was taken to Pompey when Pullis was manager. Primus’s agent said: ‘Norwich and Plymouth are both keen on Linvoy. They would like to have him on loan with a view to a permanent move.’

Pulis has defended 22 year old Nick Chadwick. The striker is being criticised by some of the Pilgrims fans. He has only scored 2 goals in 26 appearances. Pulis said: ‘He is not as fit and sharp as he could be, but he is an honest kid who puts in 110% of effort.’ Honest? Right, so he doesn’t score, but then again, he doesn’t lie or steal either!!! 😉

Chairman Paul Stapleton has said Akos Buzsaky is an ‘integral part of our team.’ and despite Premiership teams looking, the club are not interested in selling the midfielder.

Bojan Djordjic said ‘I wasn’t happy being on the bench, but I told myself to do my best if I got on the pitch, and I got my reward.’ after scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Luton.

Thought for the day: ‘It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you place the blame’.
