Ipswich have confirmed the signing of David Norris from Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed sum.

It is thought that the Tractor Boys have paid close to £2.5 million for fans favourite Chuck. This means that Argyle will net a hefty amount to add to their transfer coffers.

Speaking on the clubs official site Norris said that it “It is a great club, from top to bottom, and I have nothing but admiration for the way it is run.

‘The directors, managers, office staff – everyone from the chairman down to the gate-man – have been tremendous to me.

‘The board and the manager did everything they could to persuade me to stay, but, in the end, I feel I have to leave.

‘I was made an unbelievable offer, which would have set me up financially for the rest of my career’.

He said that it was with a heavy heart that he was leaving Home Park and said that it was for personal rather than professional reasons he chose to move on.

Argyle have all ready bolstered the midfield during the transfer window with the signings of Yoann Folly and Chris Clark. With more signings on the way before midnight, this has been the busiest transfer window Argyle have ever seen.

I am sure that all of the Green Army wish David great success in the future and thank him for his dedication and professionalism during what must have been a challenging time in his career.
