With the departure of Plymouth Argyle manager Ian Holloway to Leicester City it has been a traumatic week at Home Park.

With the dust now beginning to settle after that bombshell the Argyle board of directors, led by chairman Paul Stapleton (pictured above), can now begin the task of searching for a new manager.

After a week of speculation and rumours what the Argyle fans need now is clear and decisive leadership. We are calling on Stapleton to provide a strong hand at the wheel of the good ship Mayflower and this starts with communicating with the fanbase.

Everyone connected to the Pilgrims have been in turmoil over the last few days, particularly the fans and no doubt the players as well. What the chairman needs to do now is openly communicate with the fans and give everyone a clear vision for the future.

We are not asking for every little detail to be published and we are not asking for names of the managers that might be on the radar of the board of directors but regular updates would be beneficial and bring the Argyle community together, united in the way forward.

Stapleton recently admitted that he left all the talking to Holloway, content to leave the manager in charge of any public statements.

Now Mr Chairman, it’s your turn to step up to the plate, Plymouth Argyle Football Club needs you to be strong and decisive, the fans need you to communicate with them.

Let’s move forward together with Paul Stapleton at the helm.
