A complete news round up of all the happenings at Plymouth Argyle Football Club.

The big game is almost upon us. Argyle play Watford at Home Park on Sunday in the quarter-final of the FA Cup. The game has now sold out and will be broadcast live by the BBC, coverage starts at 5.50pm with a 6pm kick off. The BBC commentary team will be Guy Mowbray and Mark Bright. In the studio, presenter Gaby Logan will be joined by former Argyle manager Neil Warnock and former Watford and England boss Graham Taylor.

The referee for the game is Chris Foy. The winners of the game will receive £300,000 in prize money with Argyle also getting £265,000 for the television coverage. If a replay is needed then it will take place at Vicarage Road on Monday 19th March.
The draw for the FA Cup semi-final takes place on Monday 12th March and will be screened live on BBC2 at 1.30pm, Argyle and Watford are ball number 4.

Meanwhile Argyle’s 17-year old midfielder Dan Gosling (pictured above)has been called up to the England under-17 squad for the first time. Coach John Peacock watched Gosling in action in Argyle’s last game away at Sheffield Wednesday. The England squad will take part in a tournament in Bosnia that will take place between March 23rd to 28th.
Gosling will not miss any Argyle first team games. It caps a meteoric rise for the youngster who only signed professional forms last month, on his 17th birthday. Gosling made his Argyle debut in December and has since gone on to be a permanent fixture in the team.

Former Argyle striker Marino Keith has been forced to retire from football due to injury. The 32-year old has been troubled by an Achilles injury in recent years and has only made a handful of appearances since joining Colchester United two years ago.
Keith was an important member of the Argyle squad that won two Championship titles in three years, scoring 32 goals from 76 starting appearances.

Argyle striker Cherno Samba is set to go out on loan again to an un-named League Two club. Samba has fallen down the pecking order at Home Park and recently had a loan spell at Wrexham but only made three appearances.

Congrats to Gosling, he just needs to make sure his feet stay firmly on the ground, he has the potential but it needs to be turned into skill.

Shame to hear of Marino Keith’s career ending injury, used to score goals for fun against Exeter. Not a bad goal tally either for a striker that never really used to use his skill and determination to the max,
