Hungarian international midfielder Gyorgy Sandor has signed on-loan for Plymouth Argyle.

The 23-year old playmaker will be at Home Park until the end of the season when a permanent transfer will be considered.

Sandor is on-loan from Hungarian club Ujpest FC and has been handed the number 22 shirt for the Pilgrims. He has played 100 times for Ujpest, scoring 13 goals.

Speaking about the signing of Sandor Argyle boss Paul Sturrock said: ‘He’s a central midfielder first and foremost, but can also play on either side.
‘He speaks really good English, and understands it, as well, so that’s not going to be a stumbling block.’

Argyle also have two other Hungarians in their squad in Peter Halmosi and Krisztian Timar.

The capture of Sandor represents a busy day for Sturrock who also signed Exeter City striker Jamie Mackie earlier today.
