Leicester City manager Ian Holloway has bid £2 million pounds for Argyle’s want away midfielder David Norris.

This news, which will undoubtedly upset many Argyle fans, increases the pressure on the board at Home Park who are desperate to hang on to the highly rated player.

Sources indicate that Argyle will outright reject the offer but with Norris being a fan of Holloway and his work method this long running saga may now be coming to an end.

The £2million offer isn’t far short of Argyle’s value of Norris at £2.5 million though and with the board under increasing scrutiny from fans they may buckle to the pressure and use the reamining £1 million left over, after paying off Bolton to strengthen the squad further.

I thought he said he wasn’t gonna bid for any of your players? He has already got Hayles.

Because he’s about as genuine as a twelve pound note.

Take no notice of anything Holloway says. I don’t even think he remembers what he says from one day to the next. If Norris is determined to leave it may be difficult to keep him.

Ho ho ho ho ho ho. Ollie you said he was worth £5 million a few months ago. Oh sorry, I thought that was when you were telling the truth.

Norris will leave one way or the other. If we acccept that we should allow Leicester and Ipswich to bid against each other so that we get the highest amount possible.

Argyle should not let norris go to another championship let alone leicester norris has still got 18 months on his contract left so he should either play for us or stick him in the reserves.

pastyboy, i dont think your chairman will share that view. at the end of the day, there’s no point hanging on to a player who wants to leave. get the best money you can and then carry on without them. we’ve had enough of them at Leicester in our time – savage, lennon, izzet, heskey, scimeca, dickov to name just half a dozen. i may be a bit baised but have at least seen both sides of this. regardless of the Ollie situation, you have to do whats best for your club, and making someone sit it out in the stiffs out of spite will do no-one any good, not least your bank balance. good luck for rest of season, hope you bring a few up on Feb 9 to add a little spice…

Would you rather Ipswich get him, if he is leaving?

Hopefully we can get both into a bidding war. Norwich & West Brom are also interested, so a few more offers might come in.

Looks like Luggy is looking for replacements and it was him who gave him his first chance so might find someone else.

Chuck is a battler, and I think that’s what we appreciate, but his goalscoring has never been prolific (considering some of the positions he often finds himself).

If he did move to leicester, would he get into the side, as they’ve signed a few midfieders?
